Web standards docs

• Ryan Havvy added an example to Logical Operators in the JavaScript Reference.
• Jean-Yves Perrier considerably improved Using CSS transforms, and wrote an article on the CSS visual formatting model.
• Jeremie Patonnier created pages for DOM SVGTransform and SVGMatrix.
• fusionchess added examples for Using XMLHttpRequest and for Parsing and Serializing XML.
• Kevin Lim led a local doc sprint that focused on games, mobile, offline, and other stuff. Eric Bidelman, Ernest Delgado, Kathy Walrath, Andy Watson, Paul Irish, Jan Kleinert, Lilli Thompson, Ido Green, and Jed Hartman worked on:
  • HTML <bdo> (Jan)
  • IndexedDB (Ido)
  • Gamepad API(Lilli)
  • HTML input and HTML form (Kathy)
  • CSS text-transform and CSS text-shadow (Jed)
  • CSS box-sizing (Paul)
  • Application cache (Andy)
  • Using flexbox, HTML <track>, full-screen API, HTML <time>, canvas, and CSS Properties (Ernest)
  • Web workers, requestAnimationFrame, CSS calc, and HTML <style> (Eric)
  • And a bunch of other stuff.

Mozilla project docs

• Jeff Beatty continued improving the Localization Quick Start Guide
• Jesse Ruderman enhanced the landing page for Security
• gps wrote an article on Clang static analysis
• Jeff Walden started a page on the Mozilla Foundation Based on Templates (MFBT).

Weekly MDN “Mercredi doc” meetup in Paris

Jeremie Patonnier is organizing a weekly meetup to improve the French and English areas of MDN. It is held 7 to 9 pm, Paris time, on Wednesdays. You can join in face-to-face at the Mozilla Paris office, or participate remotely, in the #mozfr IRC channel. The meetings are conducted in French. The goals are:

• Increase the volume and quality of the documentation on MDN.
• Encourage newcomers to get involved by showing how easy it is to contribute to MDN.
• Have fun with other Mozillians
